Custom Cakes There are lots of people who bake and sell cakes in their homes, but when you order your cakes from a bakery, your cakes are made in a sanitary environment and decorated by a professional decorator. The Cakery Cafe can create a cake for you for your next special occasion. Feel free to pick any of the cakes on our site or call us to customize your cake to your specifications. You can also come in and look through our large number of photos. To avoid dissappointment a minimum of 48 hours is recommended for customized cakes. Custom made Adult themed cakes are also available from our shop. We also have a large selection of cake pans to rent. Please drop by to our shop for more details. The Cakery Cafe is very priviledged to have so many brides visit our website. Listed below is some helpful information to consider when ordering your wedding cake. 1. Reserve your wedding date early with us. We book up quickly and often many months in advance. We book only a certain amount of wedding cakes per weekend to ensure quality delivery, so please consider us early in your wedding planning. 2. Book your consultation. To Book your consultation you can Contact Us or call 780-513-0222. Consultations are held by appointment only, so do not be disappointed if you drop in and the decorator seems to be unavailable at that time. Our consultations are free, as they should be, however my time is valuable to me, so please call if you are running late or cannot make your scheduled appointment. 3. Deposit A non-refundable deposit is required to book a wedding cake, and to hold your date. If a deposit is not given do not assume that your date is being held. Our general rule is first come, first serve. 4. Cost Time is the most costly factor when designing a wedding cake. We will work with you to design a cake that suits you and your budget. Things like type of icing, number of servings, flower choices, appearance, etc will affect the final price of your wedding cake. 5. Payment Our Customers have a couple of choices in regards to payment on their wedding cakes. You can make payments on your cake. Total owing to be secured before the date of wedding by credit card, cheque or cash. 6. Communication Good clear communication is very important to avoid problems. Be sure to provide valid contact numbers to the cake designer. 7. Serving Be sure you have designated some-one to cut and serve your cake. You can check with your caterers if they will cut and serve your cake. 8. There are so many options when designing your cake. The Sky is the limit. Some things to consider before your consultation is fresh or fake flowers, colors, cake topper, delivery, flavours of cake, type of icing, and number of servings . All of these are important factors when designing your cake . Do not be afraid to ask us questions. We can offer help in many of these areas. 9. The Big Day!
